Top of the charts right now is 'Call my name' by Cheryl Cole, this is a catchy song however, the down side to it is that it is very repetitive and not well written. But if you want 'one of those songs' that gets stuck in your head for the whole day, then this one is the one to listen too. Apparently cheryl lip syncs all of her songs, including the ones that she sings in concerts, she is a good dancer however, but to to know that it is not her actually singing the song puts us off a little bit.

Rating: 5.5/10- too repetitive

The second song of the charts right now is 'Whistle' by 'Flo Rida'. This song is catchy and is a good dance song. The lyrics are inappropriate and are not interesting. The music video isn't very original but it seems to fit with the song. The way they have a faded effect on the video looks very good though and the view of Flo Rida singing on a Headland looks very appealing. This song is just a fun, dance song. Not one of his best. Nothing that is going to really have a big effect on you, however, the repetitiveness of the song is not in any way irritating, but is effective, and I do think this song will jump to the top of the charts soon.

The third song in the charts at the moment is Gary Barlow's song with the common wealth band. A very special souvenir album celebrating the Diamond Jubilee.

Includes Sing, written by Gary Barlow and Andrew Lloyd Webber featuring the Military Wives with Gareth Malone and artists from around the Commonwealth.

Also includes Here Comes the Sun performed by Gary Barlow & The Commonwealth Band. The album also features Alfie Boe, Hayley Westenra and Laura Wright. The song 'sing' is very good, it has very deep lyrics:

Some words they can't be spoken only sung
So hear a thousand voices shouting love

There's a place, there's a time
In this life when you sing what you are feeling
Find your feet, stand your ground
Don't you see
Right now the world is listening to what we say

Sing it louder, sing it clearer
Knowing everyone will hear you,
Make some noise, find your voice tonight
Sing it stronger, sing together
Make this moment last forever
Old and young
Shouting love tonight

To sing we've had a lifetime to wait
And see a thousand faces celebrate

You brought hope, you brought light
Conquered fear, no it wasn't always easy
Stood your ground, kept your faith
Don't you see
Right now the world is listening to what we say

Sing it louder, sing it clearer
Knowing everyone will hear you,
Make some noise, find your voice tonight
Sing it stronger, sing together
Make this moment last forever
Old and young
Shouting love tonight

Some words they can't be spoken only sung
To hear a thousand voices shouting love
And light and hope

just sing,
just sing,
just sing,
just sing,
Come on and...

Sing it louder, sing it clearer
Knowing everyone will hear you,
Make some noise, find your voice tonight
Sing it stronger, sing together
Make this moment last forever
Old and young
Shouting love tonight
hear a thousand voices shouting love

Rating: 8/10- deep and meaningful lyrics

Temper Trap (new) album
We had a comment asking us to review this album, so I typed it into you tube, and the first song that came up was called trembling hands, this is a very original song with a brilliant introduction, the only bad thing would be the very repetitive tune, I would recommend downloading it onto your ipod. However, it's not the kind of song that is catchy and you remember most of the lyrics straight away despite its repetitive tune, it is the type of song that you listen too a few times, and slowly begin to love. Dougy Mandagi (the vocalist) Has a very unique voice which is very distinctive, and in the song need your love, his voice is deeply expressed, and it is very impressive. I would give the 4 songs of this album that i have listened too so far all together:
Rating: 7/10- worth watching the music video of sweet disposition, very nice.

A song that we have been asked to review- Not the normal sort of song that we review. I watched the music video of this song (carmen- Lana Del Rey), and the blooming flower at the beginning really represents the song. The lyrics are quite hard to understand, muffled in a way, but it gives the effect of a slow and steady tempo. To be honest, I must say that I don't understand this music video, but I enjoy the old-fashioned feel to it. The music video is full of completely random clips, which do not really fit in with the music. Rating-3.5/10

Another song which we were asked to review, is also by Lana Del Rey, and it is called national anthom. This song is so much more different to the song carmen (which we reviewed above), it has a funky feel, and although the lyrics are still slightly muffled, I now understand that this must be her 'thing' and it gives the song a really big 'oomph', with a catchy melody, and an upbeat rhythm, I must say, I have nothing against this song :)
Rating-9/10

Karmin- Broken hearted
As soon as I clicked on this song, the lyrics pounded me, I could not help nodding my head, tapping my foot, and drumming on the desk, this song you HAVE TO LISTEN TOO, I downloaded it onto my ipod straight away, it is one of the best songs I have ever heard, enough said.

The song that i am about to review is one that I have been asked to review, I was told to review 'the antlers' which are a band, so i found some of their top songs, which include 'Kettering' which is one that I found interesting. I like this song, not because of the lyrics, but because of the instruments, with a simple melody, but with puzzling sounding instruments over the top of it. it starts of with a piano, then comes in with lyrics, then later on in with a big drumming rhythm which I think is a very good touch, however, when the drums are playing, there are some effects over the top which downgrade the drumming and sort of ruin the whole song for me, then the drumming stops, and it is just alien sounding effects for the rest of the song, and for me this is not very good. It ruins the song, and before the effects came in, i would have given it a 7/10, but when the effects come and ruin the song, I have to lower the rating to a 4/10.
